NICE! Knocksteady linked up with DJ Qbert to speak about his reunion with his old group called “Invisibl Skratch Piklz”, his equipment preference among other things. If you don’t know, DJ Qbert is a DJ legend and was a 3 Time DMC World Champion, which is a huge accomplishment. DMC is a World DJ Championship held annually.
Allow me to introduce to you to this artists who I’ve followed for a while: Nickelus F. Here he is ripping it over Ryan Leslie’s “Glory” Instrumental. I like this instrumental because it allows you to build up the hype and get topical.
Justin Delacruz x Back To You x [Official Music Video]
Haven’t heard too much from Justin yet, but I did hear this new track from him called “Back To You.” For some reason, this sounded something like Jay Sean would do. I don’t fully believe either him or the girl in the video know what “love” actually is, but that’s just me speaking my mind. Either way, its a nice song.
Trigga will drop off two mixtapes later today, “#LemmeHolDatBeat 2″ & “Anticipation 2″ along with a new visual for his track “Top Of The World”. Jay-Z and Kanye West’sWatch The Throne tour kicked off this past Friday (Oct. 28) at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta. With two high-definition big screens, wild pyrotechnics, cubed shaped rising platforms, and even live sharks adding to the Hov and Ye’s live show, concertgoers were treated to a night of visual perfection. The duo both performed their solo hits and of course material from Watch The Throne.
The set list included: “Jigga What, Jigga Who,” “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Jesus Walks, “Run This Town,” “H.A.M.,” “Who Gon Stop Me?,” “Izzo,” “Good Life,” and more.

DJ Premier feat. Nas and The Berklee Symphony Orchestra 'Regeneration'
DJ Premier was given Classical and began his immersion into the genre with Bruce Adolphe, a former classical music professor at Juilliard. They met at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music not far from DJ Premier’s home in NY. After learning about classical music theory, the inspirations of some of the genre’s most profound composers and how traditional pieces are structured, DJ Premier went out and bought tons of classical symphonies on vinyl to mash up his own creation. We then took that mash-up and orchestrated it for sheet music. In the first step of the actual recording process, DJ Premier partnered with Stephen Webber, a professor and conductor at the Berklee College of Music. Steven taught Premier how to conduct and helped him in studio with the 58-piece Berklee Symphony Orchestra you hear on the track. Of all the takes, the one you hear is the “wild” version (which means they recorded it without the metronome in their headphones) DJ Premier conducted himself. Then DJ Premier brought that instrumental track back home to NY and Nas laid down his rhyme on top of it.

Dag. Beyonce’s going hard before she takes on motherhood. Here’s the video for the Kanye West produced “Party” off her album 4. Instead of Kanye & Andre 3000, this video version features rapper J. Cole. Enjoy.
This is an interesting video by an artists I just stumbled upon today. I like the VHS/retro look the video was shot/edited in. Classic rapid-fire lyricism over a funky beat. Is this a Blackalicious beat? Or is this beat original? What do you think of his cardboard mic?
David Choi x Underneath Your Love (Original) x Unplugged
David Choi dropped another acoustic video to an original song called “Underneath Your Love.” I like the ‘hook’ lyrics: Underneath Your Love is where I wanna be / Oh I never ever felt this good and I can’t get enough / Oh what’d you do to me I can’t fall asleep / You put a spell on me and now I’m Underneath Your Love.
His new album “Forever and Ever” is out now. Please support him by purchasing his album!

Thai dropped his remix to “Dreams Money Can Buy.” I’ve been following Thai since high school and consider him part of the first generation of Asian American artists getting into the game (along with Jin and FM). He’s now signed to 454 Life Entertainment with Drew Deezy and I hope to see their buzz in CA move over to NY. Keep it up Thai!

Lil Crazed is consistently putting out new music. He just dropped his mixtape “Chapter 3 Liberation” and is not putting out this new music video. I like how he cut it with video of his past performances. Nice to see how far he’s come since the beginning.
