California based femcee Ruby Ibarra linked up with NY artist Kris Payne and dropped a new video/track “Where They Go.” This track is hard a fuck, and Ruby’s verse is Off The Chain!
Loving the gritty style, but it’s music like this that makes me love the underground hip hop scene. I hope neither of these artists loses this anger/hunger/fire they showcase as they develop and continue along their career paths.
I was cruising through Queens while I was back home in NY this weekend blasting Hot 97 and heard this new track from Meek Mill. I immediately was feeling the ‘gospel’ type vibe with the chord progression and the organs, and then I was about to break my neck when they hook dropped. AMEN!
It had 1 milli views yesterday, and jumped to 2 milli this morning, get on this!
Saw this hilarious and good video called “Beauty and the BEAT!” pop up in my newsfeed. I know DeStorm from his other youtube vids, but I haven’t seen anything like this before. Don’t front! I know you know the original Disney song!

Trey Songz Turns Up the Heat in ‘Chapter V’ Photo Shoot
Trey Songz charmed the cameras while shooting the grown and sexy packaging for his fifth album Chapter V, due August 21. The R&B heartthrob rocked designer duds as he posed at a luxurious mansion on the water in Miami. A shirtless and wet Trey cozied up to a bikini-clad model, soaked in a swimming pool, and smoked a cigar in the photos shot by Jimmy Fontaine.
“It’s going to be really high fashion,” said Trey’s art director Nick Bilardello. “It’s really about Trey coming into his own, growing into a man, and his music maturing at the same time.”
Lupe lets out a new single from his upcoming album, Food & Liquor II, talking about the B word and our society. The chorus, “B-tch bad, woman good?/Lady better, ain’t misunderstood,” clearly states what this song is all about. Thats social commentary for ya!

Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music Crew To Perform At BET Awards

Good things come to those who wait. When it was announced that both Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj would perform at the 2012 BET Awards on July 1, it was hard to imagine that BET executive Stephen Hill and his gang could pull even more star power for the Samuel L. Jackson-hosted show. But they continue to pile on: They already added Usher to the roster, and on Tuesday (June 19), Vibe.com announced that G.O.O.D. Music will make their first live television performance as a collective during the big show.
Kanye West's name wasn't dropped in the report, but it is hard to imagine that Yeezy would miss out on some major camera time. 'Ye actually leads all nominees with seven nods, including two in the Video of the Year category; he also has an upcoming label compilation, Cruel Summer, to promote.
"It’s perfect. My grandma gonna be watchin’, my mom, my family, the whole city," Big Sean told MTV News of his excitement for the show, for which he earned a few solo nominations. “It’s just tight that I can represent those people, everybody who had that dream, everybody who used to ride to school [listening to] their idols — now I’m with them. It’s just tight that I can show people that it’s possible.”
It’s a safe bet that Sean, along with Kanye, Pusha T and G.O.O.D. affiliate 2 Chainz will all perform Cruel Summer's lead single, “Mercy.” But if anyone knows how to seize the moment it is West, so don't be surprised if he opens up the stage to more of G.O.O.D.'s talented roster, which includes Kid Cudi, Common, Q-Tip and CyHi the Prynce.
"G.O.O.D. Music is the best team out there," CyHi told MTV News earlier this month. "Lyrically, bar-for-bar, song-for-song, concept-for-concept, we are the world, we can take it to a cipher, we can take it on the record. It don’t matter ‘cause we the best."

Big Chan jumps on a Kato beat, who he met back in the MySpace days, to pay homage to his pops coinciding with Father’s Day this past weekend. Would be nice to see the two work together more often.
Chan’s “caption” for the song:
It’s been a good 6 or 7 years since I first met Kato. This was back when Myspace was the thing and we were all busy decorating our pages. So after re-uniting with Kato through Twitter last year, I decided to ask him for beats. He sent me a good 20 or so joints and I couldn’t tell which one I wanted cuz I wanted them all.
Out of those 20, this was the beat I chose and I chose it because the chorus just came to me. Not only that but the beat just makes you wanna conquer the world. So on father’s day, as some of us reminisce, I hope this song reminds you how strong and confident you should be. Because, your daddy didn’t raise no sucka.
