Joanlee is a really down to earth artist from Long Beach, California. Since we caught up with him at the School of Hard Rockz last year, he’s been consistently putting out new music. Check out his motivational song off his album Under the Radar, “Up”:
From the producer that brought you “N*ggas in Paris”, “Cold (Theraflu)”, A$AP Rocky’s “Goldie”, and most recently the hit single “Clique”, comes a new track called “Old School Caddy”. Hit-Boy not only produced it, but he drops bars over it as well alongside Kid CuDi. Signed to Kanye’s label, he’s been building quite a buzz in the past year. Is Hit-Boy the next super producer/rapper?

“This album will probably be my last … its been a pleasure to have all my fans provide so much love an inspiration for me and my family,” he wrote. “But my heart is broken and i see no comfort further along this path only more pain. I cannot participate any longer in this … My first true love was literature so i will return to that … lupe fiasco ends here …” (via MTV News)
This announcement followed a twitter altercation with fellow Chicago Rapper Chief Keef. In an interview, Lupe commented about Keef, saying what he represents supports the growing, chaotic violence in his home town of Chicago. Keef responded with a diss, and the back and forth resulted in the aforementioned quote.
Either way, Lupe’s on track to release some music. Check out Lupe’s new dubstep-twinged song, slightly reminiscent of Pt. 1. Food & Liquor 2 dropping September 25th.
2 Chainz and Kanye lace us with some visuals for the new smash Birthday Song.
